My Aromatherapy qualification gained me a Distinction and I now sell the following choices of hand prepared aromatherapy products: bottles of massage oils (or glass roller ball), pots of massage creams, room spritz spray bottles, body fragrance spray bottles, Epsom or Himalayan salts for bath, foot or hand soak.

Products are not subject to a discount unless you reuse bottles (£1 discount per bottle reused) or provide your own essential oils - the final price will be discounted by the amount of the essential oil bottle used, based on the cost of the essential oil provided. (e.g. if a 5ml essential oil costs £3, then I would discount 3p per drop, as there's an average of 100 drops in a 5ml bottle.)

Carrier/ Base oils / Base cream to choose from:

Extra Virgin Olive oil is a thick and smooth primary base oil. This is the default oil used if none is specified, and dates back 1000's years to when the Greeks used olive oil to look good in the Olympics. Olive oil contains Vitamin K and Vitamin E that reduces inflammation, hydrates the skin and reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Olive oil also soothes irritable skin and contains antioxidants.

Organic Sunflower oil is a medium primary base oil that blends well with a secondary base oil. It is especially good for hair and facial treatments (e.g. Indian Head Massage). Sunflower oil contains vitamin E that reduces inflammation, hydrates the skin and reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It blends well with the following:

80-20 with Coconut oil to make a pleasant medium thickness base. Coconut oil is a solid oil at room temperature that blends well with a primary base oil, but has to be warmed slowly for the melting and blending process, so as not to damage the oils. (Only to be done by a qualified Aromatherapist). Coconut oil for face is popular as it is highly moisturising (e.g. good for people with eczema) and can also reduce inflammation caused by UVB sunrays, counteract free radical damage, promote wound healing and prevent infection (antibacterial, antifungal and antiviral properties). Coconut oil for face can boost the production of collagen which helps to firm skin and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

50-50 with Sweet Almond Oil to make a smooth base ideal in warmer weather. Sweet Almond oil is a medium thickness primary or secondary base oil. It blends well 50-50 with Organic Sunflower oil or can be used on its own. Sweet almond oil contains many nutrients that are good for the skin, including vitamins, minerals, fatty acids and antioxidants. Using almond oil may help to soothe and hydrate your skin and hair. Some people also use almond oil to reduce the appearance of scars, stretch marks, wrinkles and to treat skin conditions

50-50 with Calendula oil, suitable to be used on babies. Calendula oil has a light consistency, containing pressed marigolds, and is a secondary base oil that is normally added to a thin primary base oil, usually Grape seed oil or Organic sunflower oil, suitable to be used on babies. Calendula also contains vitamin A and has antifungal, anti-inflammatory, and antibacterial properties that might make it useful in healing wounds, eczema, and relieving nappy rash.

Grape seed oil is a thinner primary base oil and is a good allergy alternative. Also blends well 50-50 with Calendula oil, suitable to be used on babies. Grapeseed oil also contains Vitamin E that reduces inflammation, hydrates the skin and reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Grapeseed Oil contains powerful antioxidants that studies have shown to lighten scars and fade pigmentation, due to its ability to boost collagen production

Avocado oil is an unscented secondary base oil that provides some thickness to a primary base oil. It works as a wonderful antimicrobial, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory skin care ingredient and also increases collagen production. Avocado oil for skin is an especially good component to use if you have skin conditions such as eczema or psoriasis, but can be used on all skin types. Only a small drop needed in the blend.

Peach oil
is an unscented secondary base oil with a medium consistency and adds smoothness to a primary base oil. It protects sensitive, dry and mature skin and can help to strengthen the skin's immune system. Only a small drop needed in the blend.

Castor oil is a very thick secondary base oil that blends with a primary oil to thicken the consistency, and helps with a number of skin ailments, including eczema, psoriasis, scarring and acne. Only a small drop is needed in the blend.

E45 Cream is a very thick cream that mixes well with essential oils. It is usually thinned down with water, as it is aqueous, and can be added to a bath or a foot soak bowl, to help moisturise dry skin, and helps with a number of skin ailments, including eczema, psoriasis and acne.
